Team training and the local district AT Teams

The Central Oregon Assistive Technology (COAT) Group of the High Desert ESD in partnership with local school districts has developed a model for effectively building district capacity with Assistive Technology.  The Teams Training is based on current research and best practices in AT. Establishing your district AT Team is the first step. Together we will evaluate the teams current level of knowledge using the Quality Indicators in Assistive Technology which helps inform goals and establish a team plan. The COAT Group will be available throughout the process providing coaching, training and support.

If the High Desert Education Service District currently supports you for AT and you are interested in Teams Training, please complete a Request for Assistance at www.hdesd.org/atrequest. We look forward to working with you to help build capacity within your district, helping students succeed by effectively accessing appropriate AT tools.

Several school districts in Central Oregon have Assistive Technology Teams. These teams work closely with the HDESD AT staff to provide assistance and coaching within their district. They are your local experts!
